Lost Climate Archive
Collaborative installation, 2024
A fountain that runs on memory.
Visitors were invited to share personal recollections of weather that no longer exists - childhood snow, rivers that have dried, summers that felt different. These stories, spoken aloud, activated the fountain. Collected and archived, they became the installation itself.
The work asks what we lose when climate changes - not only ecosystems, but the textures of memory tied to them. The cold of a particular winter. The smell of a specific rain.
A collaborative work by Katsiaryna Sheliahovich, Gabriel Coleman, and Celia Tort Pujol. With the support of Elizabeth Jigalin.
Presented at Gaudeamus Festival.
