Glotal Loop
Sound sculpture. Milan, Italy (2025)

The work addresses the loss of belonging and home. It focuses on grief as something that remains inside the body, circulating without finding a form of release. The bell becomes a structure through which this grief can take form and become audible.
A Soviet-era aluminium garden sink is transformed into a rotating sound object and used as a bell. Its recorded resonance is played from inside the structure, with the initial strike removed so that only the vibration remains. As the object rotates, the sound rises and fades continuously. The work uses this repetition to give voice to an experience that otherwise remains contained.
Soviet-era aluminium garden sink, motor, speaker, chain.
